Hey, I’m Maria. This is what I look like in most pictures. I’ve got straight teeth and a smile that says, please stop taking my picture.
I’ve been working in the ad biz since 2011.
I thank my high school English teacher for the career path. She pulled me aside and told me I needed to stop writing the titles for my friends’ creative writing assignments that it was technically cheating but asked had I heard of copywriting because I seemed to have a knack for “clever quippy things”.
Now here I am.
Things I believe:
Drinking water cures most things.
Kindness, comedy and hard work make for a powerful elixir.
Everyone should dance while brushing their teeth.
Exercise and getting outside is important (I like to run, backpack, do yoga and occasionally enjoy falling off my surf board).
Lying on the couch and staring at the ceiling is also important.
Other things, but that’s probably enough for now.
